Mobile and Embedded Device Testing.

Mobile and Embedded devices are both devices that are purpose build with micro scale such as SoC (System on Chip) architectures with a lightweight operating system and application tier and/or other specific functionality such as signalling, telephone, transactions. In some situations these are mobile phones or tablets, or they may be an appliance that could be housed in a data center as part of a traditional technology rack. PTP tests all of these.

  • Our testers will test that your website, native app or HTML5 app will functionally work correctly on your prescribed device list using your mobile lab or chosen cloud provider.

  • Our testers will assess your app responsiveness, speed, and stability under varying degrees of load and stress to ensure that your customer experience meets the prescribed KPI's.

  • Devices come in all shapes and sizes, resolutions and pixel densities. Something that looks fine on a desktop browser may not look correct on the device itself. This type of testing will test app compatibility across multiple devices, screen sizes, orientations, and operating systems.

  • Our testers will evaluate your applications interface, with/without users and measure the application's overall user experience and provide guidance for improvement.

  • Versions of operating systems, API's can behave very differently and unpredictably. Our testers would ensure that your app works correctly on different versions of endpoints, operating systems, device/hardware versions so that your supported matrix is fully supported.

  • Not all mobile and device testing is on a mobile phone or tablet. Many businesses require industry specific devices to conduct their services. In these situations we have specialised testers who have skills in a variety of signals, protocols and hardware configurations to ensure your services are delivered consistently and safely.

Our Approach

  • Use a mix of real devices and emulators to cover a wide range of hardware and software configurations.

  • Automate repetitive tests to save time and ensure consistency.

  • Prioritise testing scenarios that reflect real user interactions.

  • Test under various network conditions (e.g., 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi) to ensure app performance.

  • Keep test cases updated with new app features and changes.
